Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech at IIT Bhubaneswar
The candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1994 to be eligible. A 5-year period of relaxation is offered to SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
Only candidates who passed their 10+2 exams the previous year or who are taking their 10+2 examination this year are eligible to participate.
To be qualified for various specialties of the B Tech degree, you must have a minimum aggregate score of 75%.
Candidate must have passed both JEE Main and JEE Advanced with an overall rank of 2,25,000.
- Seats will be reserved in sections for each branch, with 10% designated for the Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), 15% reserved for the Scheduled Caste, 7.5 percent reserved for the Scheduled Tribe (ST), and 27 percent reserved for the Other Backward Classes belonging to the " Non Creamy layer."
- In each category, there are 5% reservations for those with disabilities.
B.Tech Selection Criteria at IIT Bhubaneswar
- A merit list featuring candidates' All India Ranks (AIR) will be compiled based on their 12th exam results, JEE Main and JEE Advanced scores.
- If two applicants receive the same score, the candidate with the higher positive score will be given the higher rank.
- If that criterion fails to break the tie, the candidate with the better Mathematics score will be given a higher rank.
- If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher Physics score will be given the higher rank.
- For seat filing, allocation, document verification, seat allocation status, and final admission letter, candidates must register for counselling on the official JoSSA website.
- Candidates should list their preferred IIT Bhubaneswar branches in decreasing order of preference.
